IRTI organizes periodical discussion on specific Islamic philantrophy issues with the objective to extending the success experience on current waqf management to the international level with the concrete projects.
Best Practices, advanced experiences, researchers and related regulators are expected to join this workshop aiming to design a better waqf management project in the future
The main characteristics of this workshop are: a strongly operative perspective, presentations by experts including regulators, best practices from practitioners,participation of a limited number of attendants (few best selected papers).
# There are 3 different lines of workshop:
“Practices”: discussion and presentations of worldwide best practices of waqf management models
“Regulations”: discussion and presentations of the current challenges and opportunities in developing waqf for socio economic development from the perspective of regulators
“Researches”: discussion and presentations of the related empirical researches
Expected output from the workshop is list of action and concrete project possibilities which combines businesses with waqf funds for benefit of ummah from socio and economic perspectives.
IRTI will prepare brief and concrete synthesis reports on the results of the workshop that will be sent to the participants.
#Several suggested topics are as follows:
a. Challenge and opportunities in developing waqf
b. Developing Waqf with other philanthropy instruments
c. Best practices of waqf
d. Waqf from regulation perspective
e. Waqf in historical Perspectives
#Deadline Submission of Full Paper: May 30, 2014 (Extended to June 30, 2014)
Final Decision on Paper: June 15, 2014 (Extended to July 15, 2014)
Workshop: September, 24-25 2014
#Tickets and Hotel :
Authors of the accepted papers will be covered for round-trip economy class air ticket and hotel accomodation during the workshop
